We opened our store because of our love for the rustic lifestyle. We happen to have a cedar lake house near Walnut Creek on Barren River Lake in Kentucky. (Thus the name, Walnut Creek!) Also, while fishing for rainbows in both Montana and North Georgia, we grew to appreciate the simplicity and ruggedness of lodge living. Since we began our business in 2006, we have met some remarkable people, many of whom live in this area and share our appreciation for fishing, the beauty of streams, or the simplicity and serenity of hanging out on the lake. And, that forms the core of our business...those people who walk into our store and say, "We love this place!"

 

Something that we added to our store in 2008 has become our most stunning fixture--Kodi, our chocolate lab. Although she's not for sale, there were times during her puppy stage when we announced, "She's free to good home!" Her primary role in the store is to greet you and test the beds and futons for comfort. We also use her as a model to brighten some of our pictures.

 

In Spring of 2009 we relocated to Chenoweth Square, in Louisville. It is a vibrant and unique shopping hub (which also houses a Doggie Bakery!),  where we hope to continue growing and bringing in more customers to experience the warm, friendly, back to nature lifestyle.  We look forward to meeting you!
